She started competing because nobody in the room looked like her. In 2018 she took third at Red Bull 3Style Canada. In 2019 she competed at the Goldie Awards. Then, in 2022, she won the DMC Canadian championship — and won it again in 2023, and again in 2024.
No woman in the history of the DMC had won three consecutive national titles. In 2023 she carried the Canadian title to London and finished top nine at the Technics DMC World Finals. She remains the only woman to have competed at all four majors: DMC World, IDA World, the Goldie Awards and Red Bull 3Style.

That is the usual worry and it is the wrong way round. The championship is the reason she can read a room — six minutes of judged, note-perfect performance is a harder brief than a ballroom. For corporate dates she works to a run of show, keeps the volume conversational through dinner and speeches, and lifts the room on cue.
